Conference Partners Green Policy

At Conference Partners we have introduced a green policy that is sustainable and extends into all areas of our operation.

In the office, we

  • reduce waste by ensuring both sides of waste paper is used prior to recycling
  • reuse materials at every opportunity
  • align ourselves with green suppliers & business partners
  • minimize volumes of printed materials & direct mail
  • encourage responsible work practices
  • use energy and water efficiently
  • consider the environmental impact of our purchasing choices
  • utilise public transport wherever possible
  • minimise use of paper based marketing and registration, opting for a paperless system
  • focus on email and web based communication
  • recycle all old mobile phones and printer cartridges

At our conferences, we

  • seek to use green venues wherever possible
  • minimize shipping to conferences by printing locally
  • endeavour to use recycled or sustainable conference materials
  • source our badges from sustainable materials which are reused where possible
  • provide a total paperless, planet friendly system for our online delegate registration system. All communication, including maps, directions, timings and any other necessary details are all sent electronically
  • encourage the use of FSC certified paper or recycled paper for our clients’ promotional material and conference programmes
  • request locally produced food and fairtrade tea and coffee at all our events and ask that waste is recycled
  • encourage our suppliers to adopt green policies. Our audio visual and display suppliers use low-energy lighting and the exhibition and graphics are, when possible, re-useable
  • encourage individual delegates to eliminate their CO² emissions impact by buying carbon credits from the likes of www.carboncredit.com. We also link sites similar to this on our clients’ events via the online registration form. Alternatively, we can look to a sponsor to pay the total cost towards the conference’s carbon debt. In addition, we offer detailed information on public transport to the delegates attending any of our events.
